About
TdF Guide is a visual history of how the Tour de France was won.
Using interactive stage profiles, decisive race moments, terrain, weather, time gaps, and historical context, the project documents the strategies and turning points that shaped each edition of the race.
From broad race dynamics down to individual attacks, the goal is to make the Tour easier to explore, understand, and compare across eras.
Because the story of the Tour is rarely told by the final standings alone.
Each year, the Guide expands with a new edition of the race — building a long-term visual archive of the modern Tour de France. Membership supports the creation of each annual edition, continued historical backfill, and the ongoing development of the project.
TdF Guide is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Tour de France or Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.).
