Terms of Service
Last updated: May 1, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Tour de France Guide ("the Site", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Site.
1. The Service
TdF Guide is an interactive reference site for Tour de France stage profiles, results, and historical content. We add new content over time and may change, add, or remove features at any time.
The Site offers a mix of free and paid content. Some years (currently 1969 and 2025) are free to browse without an account. Access to the full archive requires a paid subscription.
2. Accounts
You can browse free content without an account. To save a profile or subscribe to a paid plan, you'll need to register with a valid email address.
You agree to:
- provide accurate information and keep it current;
- keep your password confidential and not share your account;
- be responsible for all activity that happens under your account;
- notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to create an account. If you're under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms.
3. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
Plans. Paid access is offered as a monthly plan ($3/month) or an annual plan ($10/year), or at the prices shown at checkout. Prices may change with notice; changes apply at your next renewal.
Payment. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Cancellation. You can cancel any time from the Account or Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then.
Refunds. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable, including for partial periods. We may grant refunds at our discretion, for example for duplicate charges or technical failures that prevented access.
Failed payments. If your payment method fails, we may suspend or downgrade your access until payment is resolved.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Site to violate any law or anyone's rights;
- copy, scrape, redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit Site content without permission;
- attempt to bypass paywalls, access controls, or rate limits;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Site's operation;
- upload malware or attempt to compromise the Site or other users' accounts;
- harass, threaten, or impersonate others when submitting feedback or other content;
- use automated tools to access the Site in a way that places excessive load on it.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
5. User-submitted content
When you submit feedback, corrections, or comments through the Site, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and adapt that content for the purpose of operating and improving the Site.
You're responsible for what you submit. Don't submit anything you don't have the right to share, and don't submit content that's defamatory, infringing, hateful, or illegal. We may remove submissions at our discretion and without notice.
6. Intellectual property
The Site, including its design, code, original written content, illustrations, and compilations of data, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws.
Tour de France stage data, results, race photographs, archival imagery, and broadcast clips remain the property of their respective owners. We display them for informational and educational purposes; this does not transfer any rights to you. The "Tour de France" name and related trademarks are owned by Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.), and this site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by A.S.O.
You may view content for your personal, non-commercial use. All other use requires our prior written permission.
7. Third-party services and links
The Site relies on third parties (including Supabase, Stripe, and Google Analytics) and may link to or embed third-party content (for example, video clips on YouTube). We are not responsible for third-party services or the content they provide, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.
8. Disclaimers
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any specific content or feature will remain available.
Historical data on the Site is compiled from public sources and may contain errors or omissions. We make no guarantee of accuracy or completeness. If you find a mistake, please send feedback so we can correct it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill arising from your use of the Site.
- Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, in which case they apply only to the extent permitted.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your content submissions, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Site at any time and delete your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you've violated these Terms or if we discontinue the Site.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and post a notice on the Site or email registered users. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [State, USA], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [County, State], and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
